What the inspection covers

We test what you cannot see behind covers: earth pit resistance, MCB/RCCB response, cable insulation condition, phase balance, socket polarity, and high-risk areas like kitchens, geysers and outdoor feeds. You receive a photo-backed report ranked by urgency.

  • Earthing / grounding resistance test
  • Load calculation vs. cable and breaker size
  • Board and MCB/RCCB function check
  • Socket, switch and light point inspection
  • Moisture and corrosion checks (monsoon-ready)
  • Appliance and heavy-load circuit review

Who needs an inspection

Buyers inspecting a second-hand house, landlords before renting, offices renewing insurance, apartments preparing for monsoon, and anyone whose board has never been audited. Post-flood or post-short-circuit inspections are common after Kathmandu’s rainy season.

Inspection cost

Residential audits start at Rs 3,000 and commercial audits at Rs 10,000 depending on point count. If SDR performs the remedial work, inspection fees are credited against the repair project.

Safety Inspections FAQ

How long does an inspection take?

A typical home inspection takes 1–2 hours. Larger commercial sites may take a half day. The written report follows within 24 hours.

Do I have to fix everything you find?

No — the report ranks issues by risk so you can fix critical items first. We can phase non-urgent work into a later visit.

Is earthing testing included?

Yes, earth resistance measurement is part of every standard safety inspection.
